Mayor of Byblos Receives Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh
BEIRUT - the Mayor of Byblos, Mr. Wissam Zaarour, accompanied by members of the Byblos Municipal Council, has received HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) at the Council’s headquarters and discussed the current conditions the city of Byblos is facing in light of Lebanon’s crisis.
During the meeting, Mr. Zaarour briefed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh on the achievements made by the Council at all levels, mainly the services it offers the people of the city; known as the city of handicrafts where the Phoenician Alphabet had started.
For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his admiration for the city of Byblos as well as the active municipal services, referring to his plan to establish a development project that opens up multiple job opportunities for people in the Lebanese coastal city. That is in addition to inaugurating a knowledge station at the Municipal Council’s headquarters to serve the local community and support its members to promote principles of innovation, creativity and digital transformation.
During the visit Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was accompanied by a delegation that included Chair of Group Management Board at TAG.Global, Mr. Salah Abu Osbeh, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) Executive Director in Lebanon, Mr. Marwan Abu-Sahyoun, and Representative of Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Culture and Media in Lebanon, Mr. Burhan Al Ashkar.
The meeting was also attended by the MENA EdTech Alliance President, Dr. Rabie Baalbaki, and the Vice-President of the Alliance for International Partnerships and Relations Coordinator, Ms. Nora Al-Murabi, EdTech Alliance Higher Education Officer in Lebanon, Dr. Hicham El Khoury, and Member of Digital Transformation Network and Director of Interactive Educational Technology (iET) company, Mr. Ziad Monzer.
