To enhance culture of innovation ‘Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation’ and ‘Spark International’ Sign Cooperation Agreement

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spark International/Jordan to develop and enhance culture of entrepreneurship at higher education. 

The two sides aim at contributing to the development of curriculum quality and outputs of academic education, improving professional and leadership skills of students to stimulate innovative thinking for  building a generation capable to overcome obstacles.

The MoU was signed by TAGUCI Assistant Dean for Administrative and External Relations Mr. Mamoun Abu Sebaa’, and Spark/Jordan Country Manager Ms. Haneen Khatib, in the presence of TAGUCI Dean, Professor Naser Al-Nsour, and Spark’s Director of Business Development and Curriculum in Higher Education Institutions, Mr. Nermin Begovic.

Dr. Al-Nsour underlined the importance of the MoU for achieving the goals of TAGUCI in its continuous pursuit to improve education outcomes and develop professional specialized expertise in Jordan and worldwide, by graduating highly qualified individuals capable to meet labor market requirements. 

For his part, Mr. Abu Sebaa’ indicated the importance of consolidating values of professional work and promoting students’ leadership and innovation skills, to build a capable generation for facing challenges, highlighting the significant role the University College plays in terms of building partnerships that support leadership and innovation, and directing students toward embracing innovative entrepreneurial skills.

Meanwhile, Ms. Khatib noted that the cooperation between TAGUCI and Spark aims to enhance the principles of entrepreneurship among students, faculty members and staff alike, calling for further cooperation in the future. 

The MoU stipulates cooperation between the two parties in holding workshops presented by specialized experts in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, developing curriculum to improve employability of TAGUCI graduates by directing them to the right path to establish their own small and medium sizes-enterprises (SMEs), and providing them with the required entrepreneurial skills.

Spark aims to increase the number of sustainable job opportunities and economic prospects for people in these societies, through development of higher education and the local private sector. 

It is worth mentioning that the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) is an independent educational institution accredited by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions. It received membership of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
