AROQA and Ramah Center for Research and Studies Sign MoU

Abu-Ghazaleh: Towards providing scientific research services to youth in the Arab world schools

AMMAN – The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ramah Center for Research and Studies to cooperate in the field of scientific research, in holding conference, and marketing services.

The MoU, signed by Dr. Maria Tawalbeh, AROQA executive director, and Dr. Khaled Al-Khatib, Director General of the Ramah Center, aims at enhancing collaboration between the two sides in promoting quality at the educational institutions in Jordan and the Arab region.

AROQA Consultant, Mr. Loay Abu-Osbeh, stated that the MoU was signed to serve educational institutions, promote scientific research, and empower students with the necessary skills to conduct scientific research that advances progress in the Arab community. He affirmed that the cooperation would include spreading the culture of scientific research, managing scientific journals, organizing and holding scientific conferences and seminars for young researchers, in addition to holding science competitions in schools, and marketing AROQA’s accreditation services and capacity-building programs.

For her part, Dr. Tawalbeh said that AROQA has devoted all its resources and expertise to spreading the culture of scientific research in schools through its standards and indicators that guide the school administration to activate schools’ scientific research. She referred to publishing a free-of-charge biannual journal that focuses on education and learning: quality, and innovation and creativity, in accordance with the highest local and international standards.

For his part, Dr. Al-Khatib expressed his thanks to AROQA represented by its Chairman, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, for the efforts exerted in spreading the culture of quality education, management and quality control in accordance with international standards. He pointed out that the Center provides its services to educational institutions in order to boost the education sector and raise the level of education in accordance with local and international standards, noting that this cooperation will contribute to achieving the objectives of the Center at local, Arab and international levels. 

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Emad Al Khateeb, member of the Editorial Board of the Arab Journal for Quality Education, Dr. Emad Al-Saidi, Executive Director of Ramah Center, and Dr. Saeb Al-Lala, Deputy Executive Director of the Center.

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit independent association founded in Belgium in 2007. Its main objective is to promote the quality of higher education with a particular focus on the Arab world under the honorary presidency of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States at the local, Arab and global levels.

The Ramah Center for Studies and Research conducts research and studies for government and private bodies and departments. It provides training courses for employees at all levels and organizes conferences, as well as publishes a scientific international journal specialized in the social, human, administrative and political sciences.
