Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh Patronizes Graduation Ceremony of Artificial Intelligence Workshop in Beirut
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh: I will never forget Lebanon’s support and I will always be in its debt
BEIRUT - Under the patronage of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), the Lebanese Ministry of Information has organized a graduation ceremony at its headquarters, during which certificates were presented to trainees who participated in a training workshop entitled "Artificial Intelligence: Building Self-capacities to Keep Pace with the Requirements of Digital Transformation”. The workshop was organized by TAG.Global and the Lebanese Association for Charitable Educational and Cultural Renewal (ALREC).
The ceremony was attended by HE Mr. Abdul Hadi Mahfouz, president of the National Audiovisual Council of Lebanon, Dr. Hassan Falha, general director of the Ministry of Information, Ms. Laure Suleiman, former director of the National News Agency, Ms. Rima Younes, ALREC president, and representatives of press and media in the country.
During the event, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh recalled with great appreciation the support and the great assistance and kindness he received from Lebanon, which effectively contributed to his life and career journeys since his childhood until he graduated from the American University of Beirut.
During the event Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh praised the great successes of the Palestinian resistance, saying “No one should have any doubts that their victory has already taken place. We are now in the stage where the Zionist occupation is looking for a way out of this dilemma since the occupiers can’t admit their losses; rather they seek a solution through any agreement whatsoever to say that they have won and have not been defeated.”
He further stressed the importance of development and innovation in digital learning and the use of interactive programming, or the so-called “Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, addressing the participants by saying that they are on the right track towards developing and sharpening their skills and acquiring new knowledge that is available to everyone without exception on the Internet.
For her part, Ms. Younes affirmed that Lebanon will remain steadfast despite all the challenges it is facing, referring to an agreement signed with TAG.Global to initiate local and international projects, including a workshop on Artificial intelligence (AI) for a group of trainees.
To "support our country", Ms. Younes further affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation through several local and international conferences, announcing the launch of a group of activities for people with disabilities.
For his part, Mr. Mahfouz welcomed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, expressing his admiration of his career journey and the accomplishments of TAG.Global, stating that “Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh exerted great efforts to establish companies of a multitude of interdisciplinary businesses and services, particularly in the domains of intellectual property and accounting, emerging as a global reference in both areas”, pointing out that he keeps Palestine and Lebanon in his heart and mind.
“Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is a very good reader and analyst of political affairs and thinks out of the box. In a recently published article by Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, he expressed his beliefs that the Zionist occupation badly suffers in all fields all over the world, to the extent that will reach ‘clinical death’,” Mr. Mahfouz added, further emphasizing that “This meeting with Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is dedicated to consolidating the agreement between TAG.Global and the ALREC, for the purpose of graduating participants in the artificial intelligence field”. "This area of technology has become essential in the field of communication science, and there is a great credit for Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh in this specific arena, as he gives Lebanon a special place. He is a Palestinian who loves Lebanon; he studied and graduated in Lebanon,” Dr. Mahfouz concluded.
Meanwhile, Mr. Falha addressed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, saying, “We meet in the presence of such a great personality that gave much to humanity, I mean Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.”
He continued by affirming the importance of promoting human freedom, dignity, and existence, denouncing the massacres committed against Palestinian people and the people of southern Lebanon.
Mr. Falha addressed the honorees in the workshop, saying: "You are the next generation, who will lead our victory for the sake of humanity, away from sectarianism."
