The Arab Union for Specialized Women Honors Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh

TRIPOLI – The Arab Union for Specialized Women (AUSW) organized a ceremony honoring HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, in the presence of Member of Parliament Dr. Taha Naji, HE the District Commissioner of Becharre, Ruba Shafshaq, Member of the Central Committee of the Lebanese Red Cross Ms. Maha Karhani, Representative of the Independence Movement Mr. Mazen Moawad, Princess Hayat Arslan, in addition to heads of societies and civil institutions and media representatives in Lebanon. 

 Head of the Union Ms. Nariman Al-Jamal delivered a keynote speech affirming the leading role of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh in supporting women in all fields particularly in digital transformation and all other knowledge-based domains. 

 Meanwhile, Head of the Media Sector at the Union Ms. Ghada Assaf highlighted the role of the Union in developing the local community in Tripoli, shedding light on the establishment and accomplishments of the Union at local and regional levels. 

 Head of Wiseman Council at the Union Mr. Saba Zreik said the Union is hosting and honoring Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh who is an exceptional personality by any accounts.
 For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed gratitude for the hospitality and generosity of the Lebanese people, and highly commended the pioneering role of the Union in empowering women and enhancing their role in the society.

At the end of the ceremony, Ms. Al-Jamal presented Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh an honoring shield.
