‘Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital University’ Continues Receiving Scholarship Applications from Palestinians
AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital University (TAGGDU), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Globlal (TAG.Global), has announced the continuation of receiving applications from Palestinians seeking to benefit from the ‘Abu-Ghazaleh’s One Million Refugees' Higher Education Digital Scholarship’ launched by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.Global founder and chairman. This initiative offers opportunities to Palestinians to pursue a master’s degree in several academic disciplines including, Artificial Intelligence (PRO-ACTIVE Programming), Business Administration in Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration in Information Technology, Business Administration in Business and Digital Marketing, Intellectual Property, and Supply Chain Management.
In a press statement, the University declared that the scholarship targets all Palestinians living in historic Palestine (including the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank including Jerusalem), as well as every Palestinian registered as a refugee with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Lebanon, and worldwide.
Moreover, TAGGDU emphasized that the primary requirement for benefiting from the scholarship is to successfully pass the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh English Exam, regardless of the applicant's age or academic certificates he or she hold.
In this context, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that the scholarships is part of his commitment and his duty to support the steadfastness and struggle of the Palestinian people, and his conviction in the vital role of knowledge in liberating the homelands. He continued by saying that the Palestinian people are always eager to learn, even under siege and occupation oppression. “They remain steadfast in their attachment to their land, demonstrating remarkable determination, perseverance, and love of life despite the violence and the oppression they endure.”
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh further added that the scholarships are adopting a modern knowledge-based education system focused on employing knowledge tools to overcome obstacles. That is in contrast with traditional education systems that rely on ‘Rote Learning’ that is based on repetition and memorization with the sole purpose of obtaining a certificate.
He went on to say: “Our digital education system aims to graduate qualified professionals to practice the most in-demand jobs,” adding that, “ TAGGDU has recently participated in the Preparatory Committee of the League of the Arab States’ "Education for Adults" Program. For this purpose, the University presented a program that we will introduce in January 2025 at the Arab region level. This system is entirely digital in terms of content and methodology and is not intended solely for remote (online) learning.
It is worth mentioning that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital University (TAGGDU), established in 2012, offers distance-learning master’s programs through the free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), which enable thousands of students to enroll in the best programs offered worldwide. Through TAGGDU, students can obtain a master's degree based on the standards of online master’s degree program accreditation in the United States, accredited by TAGGDU.
