AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD) has announced the strengthening of its cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) – represented by the Electronic Factory – to support Egypt’s efforts in localizing the production and manufacturing of smartphones and electronic devices in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This collaboration has resulted in producing a wide range of electronic devices, including (3) series of tablets, (5) series of laptops, and (4) series of smartphones, all designed to meet the needs of both local and regional markets with cutting-edge technologies. Through this project, the Arab Organization for Industrialization seeks to encourage investments in smartphones manufacturing technology and enhance local competencies to maximize the potential of the Electronics Factory.

Additionally, it aims to increase the share of local components in technological industries, as part of a comprehensive vision to support national industry and reduce reliance on imports. In this context, TAG.GD expressed its great pride in the efforts of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in leading the development and progress of Egypt, fostering its economic growth, and enhancing its capacity to keep pace with global technological advancements. TAG.GD also commended President El-Sisi’s wise decision to localize electronic industries in Egypt and his guidance and directives to the Arab Organization for Industrialization to achieve this goal, in a way that contributes to self-sufficiency that reinforces Egypt's role as a regional hub for advanced technology industries. It is worth mentioning that this collaboration is a key milestone in achieving Egypt’s vision for digital transformation, supporting innovation, and strengthening local manufacturing in the electronics sector, which is expected to drive new job opportunities, facilitate knowledge transfer, and solidify Egypt’s position as a regional hub for modern technology manufacturing.
