‘Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum’ and the British Council Hold ‘IELTS’ Introductory Session

‘AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), in cooperation with the British Council in Amman, has organized an introductory session on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) to a group of interested participants.

During the session, Mr. Salaheddin Eid, executive director of Quality Assurance in Education at TAG.GD, gave a detailed explanation of the training services offered by TAG.GD. During the session, the British Council experts’ presentation covered the IELTS exam and its four sections: Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening, in addition to a range of valuable tips and advice to the attendees who may register for the test’s training courses or are just planning to sit for the exam.

It is worth mentioning that the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-English language speakers.

It is trusted by most of the government agencies, employers, and thousands of universities in the United States, in addition to a large number of educational institutions, and government bodies in over 140 countries.

More than 3.5 million people take the test every year for various reasons; mainly to study, particularly in British and Australian universities and centers, where the exam is accepted globally as a standard tool that measures English proficiency, in addition to those eager to take non-academic courses or just for immigration purposes. At the end of the session, TAG-KF and the British Council agreed to continue organizing and holding such introductory sessions, given the ongoing need of the youth for such initiatives, especially for high school students seeking to apply for scholarships or pursue higher education degrees.
