Abu-Ghazaleh: Irbid Model School Successfully Completes 2nd Review Visit to Maintain Continued Educational Quality

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Quality in Education (TAG-EDUQA) - established as an extension of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) – has conducted the second review visit to Irbid Model School, as part of the ongoing auditing and evaluation processes aimed at ensuring the sustainability of quality standards and school accreditation.

The visit was scheduled in accordance with the instructions of TAG-EDUQA regarding the follow-up of educational institutions that have obtained quality certifications.  These guidelines require two field visits to be organized for each institution during the five-year validity period of the certification to ensure continued compliance with all standards. The first visit to Irbid School took place in 2023.

The review team consisted of a group of experts and specialists, led by Dr. Maria Tawalbeh, TAG-EDUQA executive director, along with Dr. Imad Khader, Education Economics expert, Eng. Haitham Ramadan, consultant for Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Quality in Education in the fields of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Mansour Sa’adeh, expert in Educational Development and Quality.

During the visit, the team assessed the School’s commitment to quality standards since its accreditation in November 2021, highlighting significant improvements in the educational system at the School, which included: Activating digital learning through training the teachers and students on using e-learning tools, establishing advanced laboratories for educational technology and artificial intelligence, improving modern teaching strategies in accordance with the latest educational practices, improving school facilities to the highest quality standards to ensure a stimulating learning environment.

Based on their observations, the team praised Irbid Model School for adherence to the accreditation standards and for being distinguished in establishing an advanced education system. This was represented in their highly qualified teaching staff, participation in global scientific competitions such as PISA and the Mathematics and Robotics Olympiads, highlighting the School’s continuous pursuit of academic excellence.

Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder of TAG-EDUQA, commended the School’s accomplishment, stating: “Irbid Model School is considered a leading example in adopting quality and innovation in education. Their commitment to accreditation standards and the development of the educational environment represents a clear vision towards achieving excellence. For her part, Dr. Tawalbeh, TAG-EDUQA executive director and the Review Team leader, praised the remarkable progress made by the School, noting: that “Irbid Model School has shown exceptional commitment to achieving quality standards. We witnessed significant efforts in improving teaching strategies and integrating modern technology into the educational process. These accomplishments reflect a culture of continuous development, making the School a model to follow in the region.”

Meanwhile, the evaluation team recommended the formation of a strategic planning team to develop a new vision that aligns with the latest quality requirements, promote the use of interactive tools in digital education, and advance the School’s interactive platform to ensure the sustainability of innovation in education.

For his part, Mr. Mohammad Waheed Sulieman Abdel Hady, director-general of the Irbid Model School, confirmed that this achievement comes in line with the School’s commitment to delivering high-quality education. He pointed out that the School’s administration will continue its efforts to develop academic performance and strengthen the educational environment that fosters creativity and excellence.
