Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the English Language Olympia (ELO 2025)

AMMAN - For the 9th consecutive year, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), has participated in the opening ceremony of the English Language Olympia ‘ELO 2025’, organized by MASA for International Exams (MIE), under the patronage of Minister of Youth, HE Eng. Yazan Shdeifat.

This year, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh participated via a pre-recorded speech delivered via Zoom, in which he expressed his pride in the positive impact the Olympia created over the years in improving the linguistic skills of the participants, affirming that this initiative is an inspiring success story.

He further stated that the English language is recognized as the first language of communication and knowledge in the world; which means that learning English is a necessity, noting that individuals should not only learn their mother language and English, but should also seek to learn other languages.

For his part, the Olympia General Manager, Dr. Majed Hamad, said that the ELO constitutes a very significant motivation for participants to learn the language through non-traditional methods, create innovative solutions to achieve this goal and improve the main four linguistic skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening).

It is worth mentioning that more than 1500 participants from various educational institutions around the world took part in this year’s event.

The English Language Olympia aims at promoting cultures, and improving creative and entrepreneurial thinking skills among participants aged (6-17) years.

The ELO is composed of five main sections including the English language test, teamwork, project, theatrical performance and local community service.

TAG.GD’s constant patronage of this event and throughout the past years underlines Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s belief in the concept and objectives of the Olympia, which proved its success at a global level, particularly its positive impact on teaching English.
